A singular force in techno, Wata has built a world unmistakably his own, combining mechanical precision with a psychedelic, euphoric sensibility that has become synonymous with his sound.
Whether through powerful, driving dancefloors or more intricate and exploratory territory, his music carries an extraordinary depth and attention to detail, constantly finding space for colour, movement and unexpected moments of release.
His 2025 album My Supernova on Dekmantel marked another major step in that evolution: immersive, expansive and full of the head-melting creativity he has made his own. Across releases for Kompakt, The Bunker NY, Figure, fabric, Midgar and his own WIP imprint, Wata has firmly established himself as one of contemporary techno’s most distinctive artists, performing globally as both a DJ and live artist.
